GemSource was founded in Bangkok in 1998 by gemologist David Chen, after a decade working for major trading houses in Hong Kong and Antwerp. The company began as a sourcing service for independent jewelers who needed consistent access to certified colored stones without navigating the complexity of buying directly at gem shows.
Over 25 years, we have expanded into one of the most trusted wholesale and retail suppliers of natural loose gemstones globally. We maintain direct relationships with miners, cutters, and dealers in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Mozambique, Brazil, and Madagascar — the world's most important gem origins.
Everything we sell is natural, fully disclosed, and available with independent laboratory certification from GIA, AGL, or GRS upon request. We do not sell synthetics, simulants, or misrepresented stones. That commitment to transparency is the foundation of our reputation.
